How do you choose a perfume online?

Start from one you already love. Its notes are printed on the box and on its maker's site: paste them into the finder, and it scores the five VITON XIII fragrances by shared notes and scent families. Then wear the 2 ml sample that comes with the sealed bottle before you open it.

How the match is counted

  1. 1

    We read the notes

About a hundred common perfume notes in English, Russian, Spanish and French, with their word forms.

  2. 2

    We compare families

Every note belongs to one or two of nine families. Your perfume and each of ours become a profile across them.

  3. 3

    Shared notes weigh extra

When your perfume and ours carry the very same note, that counts on top of the families.

Questions

Do you compare with other brands' perfumes?

We do not store or name other brands. The finder compares the notes you paste, and the result says which of our five is closest by notes, not that any of them is a copy.

What if some notes are not recognised?

The finder lists the words it did not read, so you can rephrase them or tap the families instead. The match is counted from what it did read.

How accurate is the percentage?

It is a comparison of notes and families on paper. Skin, season and dose change a perfume, which is why every bottle comes sealed with a sample.

What should I do after the finder?

Open the closest fragrance, try its kitchen test at home, then order: the 2 ml sample lets you wear it before you break the seal.
